Al-Ettifaq are reportedly set to announce the signing of Everton and Jamaica winger Demarai Gray after his failed Al-Shabab move.
Gray has been rumoured to be heading to Saudi Arabia for weeks now with Al-Shabab already agreeing terms with the Everton forward.
However, the 27-year-old’s move has now been hijacked by Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, who could have him for their upcoming game against Abha on Saturday.
According to a report by Asharq Al-Awsat, Gray has already passed a medical in London ahead of his expected move to Al-Etiffaq in the next 48 hours.

The former Leicester City man is said to have signed a three-year contract with Al-Ettifaq and will earn a reported salary of around £4.8 million per year.
The report also added that the reasons behind Al-Shabab’s decision to unexpectedly pull out of the deal remain unknown.
Gray had fallen out of favour at Everton under Sean Dyche, failing to get into the matchday squad after four games this season.
He also made a recent post on social media appearing to criticise the English manager suggesting a potential fallout between the pair.
“Everton fans have always been great with me but it’s so difficult to play for someone who don’t show you respect as a person,” Gray said on Instagram.
A transfer to Al-Ettifaq would make Gray their fifth summer signing after the arrivals of Jordan Henderson, Jack Hendry, Mousse Dembele, and most recently, Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dammam-based side returned to winning ways on Saturday after coming back from behind to beat Damac 3-1 and climb to fifth in the Saudi Pro League table.
