Al-Ettifaq are reportedly interested in AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham this summer with the Saudi side seemingly looking for striker depth.

After the signing of Moussa Dembele, formerly of Celtic and Lyon, it still seems that Gerrard is keen on signing a top-class striker and Abraham may well be the man that the Middle Eastern side targets.

According to Ekrem Konour, the Saudi side are interested in former Chelsea striker Abraham but whether a deal can be done for the talented striker remains to be seen.

As well as Konour, Italian outlet calciodangolo, through sources inside the Saudi club in question and the player’s agents, the sacrificed player in attack for AS Roma could well be the English striker.

The footballer, who suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his knee last June 5, should only be available again in January of 2024.

However, it could take a while to recover complete physical form, as we have seen in previous cases of similar types of injuries.

Al-Ettifaq’s interest

The Italian outlet doubled down on the Saudi side’s interest in the Englishman and believes Roma would be open to selling the Englishman following the impending arrival of Romelu Lukaku, another former Chelsea striker.

According to the Italian outlet, Abraham, for his part, has given the green light for a transfer to the Saudi Pro League, despite being just 25 years old.

However, in order to move, he has asked for at least a three-year contract and a doubling of his salary, which would be no less than £8 million a season.

The Italian side would demand around £20 million for the forward, which would be a great deal for the Saudi side.
