Al-Ettifaq are reportedly interested in West Ham United striker Michail Antonio as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his attacking options.

According to a post on X by Santi Aouna, the Saudi side are keen on signing the former Sheffield Wednesday forward.

After being briefly linked with Mason Greenwood, following the announcement that his future was away from Old Trafford, it seems Gerrard’s side are keen on a striker.

It would certainly come as a surprise if David Moyes’ side did let go of the Jamaican forward during the season.

According to the post, the Saudi side are in talks with the forward and are trying to convince him of the move.

As well as this, the French journalist also claims that, surprisingly, Moyes’ side would be open to selling the forward.

What would Antonio offer

It’s clear to see what Gerrard is looking for from his players, commitment, work ethic and quality, Antonio gives you that in abundance.

An incredibly underrated Premier League striker, not only would the forward bring goals but he would bring an abundance of heart and desire to the Al-Ettifaq forward line.

The fee for the forward remains unknown, but if the Saudi side could get the forward in for around £20 million, then that would be a superb bit of business from Gerrard’s side.
