Al-Ettifaq are reportedly interested in out-of-favour Paris Saint Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his midfield.
The Dutch midfielder has had a hard time in the French capital and a move away from the club seems likely this summer.
The former Liverpool midfielder made the move to the French giants in the summer of 2021.
It seems the midfielder is already deemed surplus to requirements for the side now managed by Luis Enrique, the former Barcelona manager.
The former Liverpool midfielder never really made his mark in the French capital since his arrival on a free transfer.
He featured 38 times for Les Parisiens, registering three goals and as many assists.
Jordan Henderson has already made the move from Anfield to Al-Ettifaq and Wijnaldum could follow him, although in a slightly more convoluted manner.
According to a tweet from Sports Zone, a French outlet, the Saudi side are keen to sign Wijnaldum, as Gerrard and Henderson are reportedly trying their best to convince the Dutch midfielder of a move.

Would Wijnaldum make the move
Wijnaldum, 32, could well be the next top-quality player to make the move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
Gerrard’s side, who have started the season with two wins and a draw from three, are seemingly keen to bolster their options.
At 32, the midfielder may well be in the twilight of his career so a move to the Middle East may well make sense for his career and his finances.
The Saudi side are not one of the big four who are backed by the PIF (Public Investment Fund) so they may well have to be shrewd with their spending.
With PSG seemingly keen on getting rid of the Dutch midfielder, who was at AS Roma last season, the fee may well be a reasonable one to sign the former Newcastle United midfielder.
